For this piece I made macaroons and 2 bowls. My inspiration for this piece was my first time trying a macaroon. I really enjoyed it so I decided to make some out of clay. I made these by making little buns and a coil in the middle. I poked a hole to let air through in the kiln. I used a pin tool and messed up the edges like a macaroon has. for the bowls I used 2 different molds. The yellow one I left alone but the green one I added little section walls by scoring and slipping on the walls to the bowl. For glazing I wanted to use pastel/bright colors like real macaroons usually have. I used green, yellow, blue, purple, violet, and pink.I mixed the colors up differently. For the bowls I used a translucent opalescent on the edges but it didn't do much besides make the original color lighter.
