Maynards Bassetts, part of Mondelez International brand portfolio, were facing sector sales decline due to consumer habits changing. Despite market sales declines, Harribo grew in this sector by 14%. Consumer Insights found, the largest consumer segment lay with GenViz and they were consuming 50p chews from convenience shops to and from schools. Maynards Bassetts wanted some of this and so was born Maynards Bassetts Smiles.

Solution:

Targeting GenViz to increase Maynards Bassetts market growth meant talking to them on their platform of choice, Instagram. For these visual first, veracious consumers "if it's not online, it doesnt exist", so "Fold it, Pose it, Share it" #Jollymouth was created to make Smiles all round and to put it front and foremost in their fun, visual world.
