COYSA started in 2014 to give exposure to the wide pool of creative prowess in the Bay, with the goal to celebrate ones true colours and what it means to be South African through creativity and culture.

The takeaway from it all is an overwhelming sense of authenticity. These are people who have South Africa in every fibre of their being. You can see it in the light of their eyes, the expression on their faces, and the wonders they create with their hands. It deserved to be shared with the world. 

We aim to bring together the Port Elizabeth arts community through creative exhibitions, networking, instameets and festivals. 2015 marked the first time COYSA became a full-scale Creative Festival incorporating all forms of expression, including art, music, skateboarding, tattooing, hip-hop dancing and culinary delights. Taking the exhibition into a experimental space down Baakens Valley at one of Port Elizabeth’s unique hidden gems.
