School of Motion – After Effects Kickstart course completion
Wanting to gain more knowledge in my career and learn the ins and outs of After Effects I started the AE Kickstart course with the highly recommended learning academy School of Motion.
1. Messing Around
First animation completed.
This task was to mess around with the elements used in the tutorial, keeping it within the timeframe.

2. Making Keyframes
Using the artwork frames, I had to create an animation following their storyboard using the knowledge I had gained thus far into the course.

3. Epic Lyric Smackdown
This was a fun little animation, the task was broader than previous briefs. I had to create an animation using the song lyrics alone with no artwork provided.

4. Nol's Neckties
This animation was based from artwork given, in which I changed the colour palette and had to animate all the assets to finish on the final frame.

5. The WOW Factory
I was given the artwork and frames for this task to get the keyframe from one end to the other, keeping the movements smooth and in good timing.

Given a range of fonts I was tasked to have the word 'Awesome' write onto the screen

7. Geometric Dance Party
The most challenging of all briefs by far! very enjoyable. I was given a soundtrack and had to create a little animation keeping it within 30 seconds the rest was free reign.

The soundtrack I chose reminded me of something you would hear playing gameboy or a computer game, so I wanted my scene to by bright, playful and have a happy vide.
Learnt a lot, can't wait to dive more into the world of motion design!
