WING OF SPRING (“КРИЛА ВЕСНИ”) is the festival for creativity and good, held by RIY MRIY team in Kyiv (Ukraine) in 2018. The festival aimed to discover the talents and creativity of children of several Ukrainian orphanages. It included free drawing master-classes for such children, auction where children’s art objects were sold, and flash mob #хатадляптаха (“birdhouse”) when anyone could join and create their own art-birdhouses.

 

THE TASK

We were asked to create a unique character and visual identity for the event, using bright colors and “wings and birds” theme.

The character – Pilot-bird – reflected the message of the event “Let’s meet the spring and birds together!”.  

The impression of handmade children's drawing on polygraphic products was created by using mix of bright colors and uneven lines.

We also held a drawing marathon, and collected illustrations about "Wings and Birds" from different authors, mostly members of Sketching Club Studio. The illustrations were put on postcards and sold at charity auction.
