A few weeks ago I gave myself a break from painting and spent several days drawing from a spray of dry oak leaves.  My intention was not to make a naturalistic record of the leaves but to explore the possibilities of drawing whilst attending closely to the small contingent details of ordinary life and the natural world.

These drawings were made with a black biro, some cheap felt-tips, and coloured emulsion
