TIKOY STATION
branding for a nian gao station in the Philippines
_______________
Tikoy station is a seasonal cart that focuses in selling authentic Chinese New Year Sweet Rice Cake or Nian Gao in Le Village The Lifestyle Park at Quezon City, Philippines.

Tikoy is the traditional pudding cake delicacy served during the Chinese New. Made of glutinous rice flour, wheat starch, sugar, salt and water. Eating
tikoy in Chinese New Year is considered good luck because nian gao is a homonym for higher year. The Chinese word 粘 (nián), meaning "sticky", is identical in sound to 年, meaning "year", and the word 糕 (gāo), meaning "cake" is identical in sound to 高, meaning "high or tall".

The logo is based on the iconic shape of nian gao, round, with Chinese oriental traditional pattern. The "tikoy" word mark is rendered in modern typography, with the “nian gao” (translation of Chinese rice cake) at the top part and “station” at the bottom part of the logo.
