Kids Lenticular Valentine's Day Cards
In this project I was to create Valentines Day cards for children. The characters and phrases needed to be current, simple and fun. The card is designed to be a lenticular image (a technology that is also used for 3D displays) that transitions between two images as you tilt the card.
Theme Number One: Robots
Here is a concept and how I explored the colours for the character.

These are the final concepts for the cards. The stages of the cards are shown from left to right. This group was robot themed.
Theme Number Two: Baby Animals

Next I was to create a similar group of characters with the theme of baby animals. These are some of the rough sketches and concepts I was exploring.

These are the little guys I came up with for the final concepts.
It was a lot of fun to do and I learned what can be done to characters to make them so cute it hurts. The transitions where a great way to show emotion and convey a message. I think I would like to make a mock-up of them so you can see the transitions in action.
