Project Goals
Model human behavior and performance using vehicle sensor data
Leverage connected vehicle technologies, IoT and Big Data capabilities
Apply Big Data Analytics to deduct human behaviors and performance from raw sensor data.
Prototype functional mobile applications to provide high value data insights on human performance when interacting with complex safety-critical systems.
Create a service design that overcome’s operator’s distrust of performance monitoring systems  

Methodology
Analyze - benchmarking, competitive assessment, functional analsysis 
Understand - operator interviews, contextual Inquiry, walk a mile immersion
Conceive - personas, stakeholder mapping, experience/journey mapping
Design - storyboards, appearance models, interactive prototypes (Axure)
Evaluate - expert reviews, heuristic evaluations, human-in-the-loop simulations. 

Primary Research Questions
Reliably convert raw sensor data from vehicles to detect operator actions?
Reliably deduce human performance from raw sensor data?
Create meaningful data insights to improve operator performance

Results
Several software applications have been released or are in development
