Working on the Special Edition box and wine bottle for San Miguel Vineyard’s “First Vintage” (“Primera Cosecha”) made me truly happy. Two hundred leather boxes were painted and numbered by hand. I also designed the bottle’s leather label and cap, both hand-painted. A copper colored wax was used around the wine bottle neck to seal the cork. The box’s interior displays a brief message telling the story of the vineyard, celebrating its first vintage, and thanking the partners and investors for believing in the project. All the hours of work and effort were totally worth it!
These are the original spec sheets (in Spanish) I decided to prepare for my presentation. Personally, I liked the first version of the "1a Cosecha" logotype better (I thought it was more original), but I was asked to change it slightly in order to make it more readable.
