The big man came to Lincoln.
Redthread Creative, in partnership with Hudl and Squatch Outerwear, asked Aaron Draplin, designer extraordinaire, to come and speak in Lincoln, Nebraska. And I was lucky enough to design and illustrate the poster and supporting materials. I chose the humorous concept of replacing the iconic ‘Sower’ atop the Lincoln capitol building as the basis for the illustration. The process was a synthesis of traditional and digital ways of working.
In the end, my bud Dane Stahr screen printed a limited edition series, and we sold them at the event. Definitely one of the coolest projects I've worked on.
(There is still a limited amount of posters left, so if you're still interested in purchasing, contact me.)
