E.J. Ourso College of Business
Louisiana State University
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
A total square footage of 156,000, the E.J. Ourso College of Business is a modern rendition of the architectural forms of the historic Louisiana State University campus nestled in the heart of Baton Rouge, LA. The sloped gable roofs and arches are rendered in distinctly contemporary materials of colored glass and bronze to reflect a forward looking attitude of the College of Business as the generator of economic success for Louisiana and the entire south gulf region with acknowledging the important of its heritage. Consisting of a business commons, an auditorium, and eight classroom pavilions, the buildings of the College of Business are sited around a lushly planted exterior courtyard interconnected by an arcade. And surrounding the college of business are the traditional Oak trees that are an integral part to the landscape of Louisiana State University.
