This course covered the full range of typographic variables (i.e., the characteristics of letterforms and the ways in which they are combined and configured to create texts) and of the relationship of typographic form to conventions of language-use.

For each project every student was given the same text to work with to create posters. The first three posters are advertising for three lectures out of a series.
For the next three posters, I used the same three lecture texts and applied them to a new format.
For the Henry Petroski lecture posters, we were limited to using only Helvetica for the font, and the colors red, black, and grey. Here are my three favorites!
