WORLD INDUSTRIAL DESIGN DAY 2016: YOUTH IN DESIGN
With 'Youth in Design' as the theme of World Industrial Design Day (WIDD) 2016, the Industrial Design academic community in the Philippines had another opportunity in interacting and sharing ideas amongst design institutions, expanding networks and in opening minds. This event had students, faculties and design enthusiasts/professionals participate and exchange ideas and learning in a week-long fashion.
During my last few years in university, my creative team at our school organization was assigned to create collaterals for the annual event. It was difficult at first to create a general concept for the event because of the variety of fields the Industrial Design course offers such as packaging, transportation, furniture, toy, product design and many more.
But with countless of brainstorms, the main highlight of our collaterals was finally finalized to building blocks.
A similar way of ideation between the youth, industrial design students, professionals and professors.
