For this brief, my course-mate and I had to come up with a 10 second animation for one of the societies at Loughborough, that began and ended with a box of a specified size. We both decided that the surf society was the society we wanted to animate for. Having looked at Lemony Snicket's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' 's opening title and the 2D, collage style approach to animation they had used, we decided we wanted to do something similar. We drew every element of the animation and scanned it in to Photoshop, from there we converted each file into either a JPEG or PNG format, and then copied it into our animation. Neither of us had ever used Adobe AfterEffects before, so this brief proved hugely challenging for us both. However, we were both proud of the final outcome.
