One of the most famous mystical stories both in Mexico and internationally, is the legend of "La Llorona" (The Weeping Woman or The White Lady). There are different versions of this story around the world, but the main facts are always the same. They are presented as the lost soul of a woman who killed or lost her children, looking for them with a ghostly cry, terrorizing those who can hear or see her.
The main idea of the project is to represent this story through a functional product. The result was the design of a sculptural table planter, depicting La Llorona through releasing tears from its eyes and dropping water on the area where the plant is placed.
This art / object has a multifaceted aesthetic, consisting of more than 500 Polysurfaces. It also has a mechanism that slowly releases droplets of water through the tear ducts of the piece, and which dispenser is filled in its upper part. This design has a base which functions as a hidden drainage, while projecting the figure as a levitating spectrum.
