For Easter 2018 I wanted to create an artwork based on Jesus Christ. The idea was inspired by lyrics from a Lauryn Hill song titled, 'Final Hour'.

Initially, I had a imagined concept of Jesus being encircled by a crowd of people trying to touch him and showing praises similar to what you see when fans and celebrities interact but the vision I had was too grand to stand against time constraints from upcoming projects and social responsibilities, so I refined my focus to a single subject portrait featuring the man himself without the entourage.
Left the concept I ended up going with which originally featured a figure backing the main view and looking out to a crowd and to the right, the abandoned 'grand' concept.

After spending closer to 23 Hours painting and eating bread, the concept was complete.
"With all that’s going on, he's got the world in his palm." - Lauryn Hill, Final Hour.
At the end I was glad I went into this personal project and stuck with it, as I believe It turned out pretty well. Thanks for Viewing!
