Gary Neville, a member of the ‘Class of 92’ and significant shareholder in the new business venture Hotel Football Manchester, invited students of my graphic design course and other visual arts courses to come up with artwork for display in the new hotel. My work was specifically selected and currently 8 copies of my illustration are on display in the hotel, including 3 in the executive rooms.

With this piece I thought about my childhood playing football in the streets and we all had that moment when the ball was volleyed over an irretrievable wall by someone trying to perform an audacious shot they saw on TV,  having to then resort to a beat up bottle as replacement. Playing street bottle football with my friends produced many memorable moments during my childhood and I am sure that this can relate to you.
