I designed an interactive exhibition highlighting the innovation of refrigeration.
The exhibition was to be displayed in Dublin’s iconic Temple Bar Gallery, so I designed the layout of the building to visualise the exhibition.
A timeline of a wavy/watery line would engulf the entire space, along with customised icons to display information about each stage of refrigeration history.
There were two interactive displays, one informative about the effects of CFCs. The audience would play a ‘game’ to destroy as many as possible.
The second would be more fun, and promotional. It explored the idea of the future refrigeration will bring us, most notably the idea of cryogenically freezing oneself. The audience would use this display to take a self-portrait and place it in a jar. This could be shared on social media and used as free advertising for the exhibition.
