Arazzo
Cotone, acrilico, nylon, rame, teca in plexiglass

L’arazzo è composto da trame in nylon, cotone spesso (bianco e nero), filo di rame.
Anche l’ordito si alterna in filato bianco e nero.
L’Arazzo è completamente sospeso con fili di nylon trasparenti all’interno di una scatola in plexiglass.

L’ordito è l’ordine sulla quale si dipana la complessità. Immettere il rame tra i filati tranquillizzanti del bianco e del nero rompono volutamente la tecnica antica delle alternanze e mi hanno condotto a comporre una trama inaspettata e narrativa. La sospensione nella teca trasparente vorrei portasse ancora più lontano… racconto, ritmo, tappeto volante ..
Così come ho voluto ottenere, nella continuità del tessere, le diverse profondità visive.

Tapestry
Cotton, Acrylic, Nylon, Copper, Plexiglas Case

This tapestry is made of nylon, thick cotton (black and white) and copper wires wefts. In the warp black and white threads are alternated, too. It is hanged by transparent nylon yarns in a Plexiglas case.
The warp stands for the order upon which complexity is unravelled. The copper wires inserted in the comforting blacks and whites designedly break the ancient technique of colour variation leading to the composition of an unforeseen narrative weft.
To go even further, I suspended it in the transparent case…to be tale, rhythm, flying carpet… Likewise, I wanted to reach, in the continuity of the weaving, the various visual depths.
