專案為國立高雄科學工藝博物館設計飛行模擬VR體驗裝置.透過寓教於樂的手法,沉浸式體驗,讓民眾了解飛行原理與空氣動力學基礎知識.

It's a flight simulation VR installation at National Science and Technology Museum. Our goal is to offer a learning from playing experience. VR headset is a famous for immersive experience . Through this VR installation tourists become a pilot. As they follow the step by step instructions they gain knowledge of HUD aerodynamic and aircrafts. 

遊戲式學習 Game-based learning

空氣動力學與飛行息息相關,但理論艱澀不易理解.因此專案規劃以遊戲體驗的手法,運用VR沉浸式體驗的特色,民眾成為一日飛行員,戴上VR頭盔進入停機棚,透過空氣動力學的引導教學,一步步往飛機駕駛艙前進.並實際運用學習到的知識,成功操作飛機起降,以及在空中跟蹤並擊落目標.裝置最多提供四人同時連線對戰,更增添學習趣味性.

Aerodynamics are vital to pilots. But those theories could be intimidating to read. So we transform those theories into a game-based learning process.  Users need to follow the step by step tutorials of aerodynamics in order to move forward to the aircraft. Then they can apply what they learn in the combat mode which allows you to track and shot down targets.

在遊戲過程中學習飛行相關知識,包含:HUD各項指標意涵/飛機不同構造與功能/雷達圖的判別

VR不適合呈現文字資料,因此特別簡化介面的複雜度,將知識性質的資訊以旁白的方式呈現,而介面主要用於呈現圖解和重要標題.
VR is not an appropriate media for text. That's why we simplify the user interface as much as possible and the audio guide plays the main role when it comes to text content.

場景設計 Landscape design

遊戲包含長達90秒的自由飛行,因此使用者移動所涵蓋的範圍相當大,在場景建置上需要設計出具有說服力的擬真地形,透過水面,雲朵,光線等增加飛行的變化度與戲劇性,同時和程式設計合作,將效能控制在承受範圍內.
In the VR game users have 90secs to explore the terrain provided. To build a landscape with this scale and balance efficiency requested in the same time are great challenges.
