Pirate dans le Jura [WIP]

A morning stroll :
The digital painting Pirate dans le Jura is an exercice of Concept Art in witch I wanted to melt the shy heat of the sunrise with the humidity of the dew.
The particular climate of the Jurassian second plateau often means that the rays of the rising sun color the morning mist on the edge of the woods with pinks and pale purples hues rather than yellows, reds or oranges ones. And it's a mood that inspired me.
In this painting some textures, photobashes and custom brushes were used ; like for leaves and grass in the foreground, but I really use these techniques with restraint and a loose process. I just wanted the mood to make the visual and not the detail does.
But, I think even so that I should to melt a few elements under a tinted glaze, because they overlaps too harshly each other and stand out too much of the scene. Like the character that I think awkwardly integrated. The dreamlike could be suffer about it.

It is by zooming in the image that one realizes the concrete difference between a " mood based Concept Art " and an " Illustration ".
In Pirate dans le Jura the atmosphere prevails over the detail. The detail is designed in order to just understand the scene, and no more. The feeling makes the image.
