I was asked to design a book of essays written by renowned authors mostly from south eastern part of Europe  during 2012 for LIFETOUCH - a programme section of European Capital of CUlture MARIBOR 2012 (Slovenia). The authors are from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, but also Portugal, Norway, Italy, Greece, ...

 

The title somehow reveals the content.

In another words, the preocupation of the authors was giving some critical insight on social, political, cultural topics from local to international dimensions.  As our chief editor likes to say: this is a high caloric reading;)

I was inspired by the interresting detail - what a powerful thing is to map a habitus just with words - this is what writers did. So - I tried to visualize a map of this - - - landia made out of significant words author used in their essays.
