I designed this tampon packaging as an attempt to change the way tampons are presented. Currently, most tampon packaging is bright and obnoxious with girls in dresses twirling about, looking happy as ever. That is not the reality when women are menstruating. I wanted to create a package that is discreet and gives off an all-natural feeling. My other main goal with this project was to reinvent the terms for the different absorbancy levels. Instead of displaying the not-so-discreet terms such as super and super-plus, I changed them to seed, plant, and flower with graphical images to further indicate which levels they represent. Each absorbancy level is also indicated by different colors.
