A Type Specimen Book
The prompt was to design a type specimen book with a randomly selected typeface (Hoefler text). There are no restrictions on creative direction. Aim to sell the font by showing as much of its features as possible.
The Concept
This paint chip book doubles as a type specimen book for Hoefler Text. The inspiration for this project grew originally from the typeface itself. Hoefler text has a lot of glyphs and symbols that work together to create interesting patterns. This made me thinking of wallpaper design which naturally lead to interior wall paints and the paint chip book itself.
