Moon Patisserie is a local startup established by two friends that are the new moms. The Patisserie, located on one of the suburban streets in place of a classic Australian milk bar. The choice of location was a response to social isolation felt by new mothers living in suburbs. The founders had a dream to create a go-to destination for local mother and baby groups enjoying a coffee, chat, guilty pleasures and birthday parties. The task was to create approachable brand expressing friendliness, joy, fun and connecting with others.
The basis for the naming was the brand promise stating that all the products are made fresh nightly. The shape of the logo mimics icing sugar impression on wood conveying an idea of freshness of the sweets. Colour scheme, inspired by the nostalgic pastels of the old milk bar, is enhanced by the addition of vibrant blue.
