Intro

We don’t know how to talk about death anymore.
It’s true! Death and grieving has become taboo meaning people are apprehensive about talking about the decreased. Those coping with death often find that their community is unable to help them through the grieving process in the fear of upsetting/offending the individual.

Solution
'The Raveyard' is a collaborative social solution to coping with death and inevitably grief. This app breaks this barrier between the grieving by providing a safe space for communities to talk about the deceased, whom they know mutually. This concept allows people to ‘RAVE’ about someone who has died by sharing memories (photos, music, videos, film, written thoughts) and ultimately remembering the good times.

No one should grieve alone. The 'Raveyard' breaks down the social barrier, and provides a tangible talking point out with the app.

Good Grief!
‘Good Grief’ is a booklet which provides information for the bereaved that includes: The Five Stages of Grieving, Dealing With Loss, What to do after someone dies, and useful contacts (The Samaritans, Grief Encounter, Etc) The Booklet also prompts users to download the app and encourage others to join the conversation. Ideally the publication would be made available in public spaces such as Funeral Homes, Hospitals, Schools, and elsewhere when appropriate.
