Publication Design // Competition // Typography
Designed for the submission to the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) awards, 2018. In answer to competition Brief 2: Writing Women into History.
This publication was the main outcome for the project. To accompany this I designed a specification as well, designed than A5 size describing all elements of design in the project.
Find a link to this element of the project below.
A Debt of Honour.
The story of Japanese prisoner of war camp survivor Renée Cumberbaptch and her experience of life in the camp during the Second World War.
Highlighting some moments in her life and what motivated her to make a difference for many thousands of people, who went through similar experiences and helping them get the recognition and compensation they deserve.
Never to receive any real recognition in her lifetime, nor to this day, apart from the personal testimony and stories of those she helped, Renée Cumberbatch is a real unsung hero.
There are many more pages to this publication which were a bit too long to put here, but to view the rest of the publication please visit the project on my website here.
