I got an exciting opportunity, during my tenure at Triburg, to work on performance wear.
I particularly liked mixing the elements of function and fashion together.
My knowledge of textiles helped me here to understand fabrics technically and their placement on the body for maximum results for the athlete.
I designed and sampled a range that had a mix of performance wear like compression tees and compression leggings along with after-workout separates like popover hoodies and scoop tanks.
Adding surface interests like sublimation prints in dynamic patterns or body mapping styles.
All this along with surface finishes like UV protect, Anti Microbial, Anti-Static finishes.
My most exciting learning in performance category was SEAMLESS products.
An in-depth research into the process was helpful for me to design seamless products like leggings, bras and tanks.
The freedom to make full jacquard patterns that can be engineered on the silhouette made the process even more rewarding !
