Project Let's Live Videography (Outside)

Project Let's Live
Project Let's Live is a new travel film club at Miami University that encourages members to step out of their comfort zones and try new things. Within the club, there are different divisions. They include, videography, photography, writing, finance, and marketing/design. In each location, we come together to create videos and artwork that narrate our experience. Since the club is in its developing stages, we hope to link it to environmental and social issues. This way, it will draw attention to important topics around us.

As the head of marketing and design, I lead a small group in creating posters, logos, and other works of art that promote our club.

Logo Design
After discussing symbols of adventure, the club members came up with the idea of creating the top of the anchor into a palm tree. Therefore, these were some of the initial sketches for the logo. After a group vote, the design on the right was chosen.
This is the final logo design that we plan to place on our flag as well as our apparel.
Videos

Below are videos edited by me. These are independent works that we include in our social media. Since the club has just started, we have not had time to create a big video all together. However, that is on the agenda!
Song: "Never Let You Go" by Kygo
This video is very special to me. Over the summer, I found out that the horse I had been riding for the past seven years was moving on to new owners. Therefore, I decided to make a video of some of our last moments together.
Song: "22 (Over Soon)" by Bon Iver
This video was a collaborative piece. Some clips were taken by Molly Goheen and Bob Berner. My job was to edit the music and the video together.
Song: "That's A Plenty" by Igor Bourco's Uralsky Jazzmen
Although Project Let's Live is called a "travel film club," it does not mean that one has to go very far. We are focused on trying new things and being creative even if it is just in your own backyard.
Song: "Search and Destroy" by Sanders Bohlke
This was a simple video that I created while on vacation in Hilton Head. The emphasis was on the importance of family.
