The Spirit Animals coloring book was created for a book design class in the GIT program at ASU. As a part of the project I researched the history and beliefs of various Native American tribes throughout the United States. 

This coloring book is a representation of the common beliefs of spirit animals. The pages include an explanation about each animal and three legends from specific tribes. 

There are illustrations of each animal and three Native American patterns for the user to color at their pleasure. The goal was to create an enjoyable way to share the knowledge of Native Americans to anyone interested.

Throughout this process I used photos of these animals to create representative illustrations. Through research I compared the animals I created to the popular animal coloring books currently in market.

My goal was to present realistic animal illustrations that are entertaining to color. My plan for this book is to go and add patterns to add complexity to each illustration.
