This is my conceptual electric public bus design. The vehicle was designed to be operated as BRT (bus rapid transportation) with the advantage of dedicated bus lane usage and prepaid transportation of passengers. Therefore, most of its features are different from the conventional buses like the placement of driver (in the middle of the front side) and the placement of door (only one wider door in the middle of the vehicle).
The bus was designed featuring unique characteristic lines, thus forming an inseparable part of modern city life. A more comfortable journey has been provided due to wide windows,increased ceiling height and ample interior room. Low platform height and wide passenger door have simplified entrance to the vehicle. Additionally, the air conditioner was embedded on the top of vehicle to support its aesthetical appearance.
This vehicle was designed with in-wheel (hub) motors and all the wheels were steered which increase the maneuverability of the vehicle. In this bus there were only one wider tire in both axels, while conventional buses have usually double tires on the rear axels.
