Freelance exhibition graphics design contract for Locales and the Ministry of . Locales specialise in creating high quality visitor experiences through story telling. Chris Hay's enthusiasm for telling New Zealand stories inspired the project team. This design was stage one for the project.
The design challenge involved creating a space that left the original building intact. No fixings could be used in the creation of the small space. Spatial designer and artist Carin Wilson (Ngāti Awa) designed free standing, flexible ʻpalisadesʻ from which we could attach exhibition labels printed on canvas.
