WAVES // Desk Organizer
Overview
+ focus on developing skills in both 2D sketch visualization as well as a range of 3D physical modeling
+ final desk organizer generated from vacuum forming in combination with other modeling tools

Research
+ Most common items people keep on their desk include...
writing utensils
clips
sticky notes
charging cords
flash drive
stapler
earphones...etc
Ideation & Prototype
+ exploring different forms based on tessellations strategy
+ using paper prototypes to show the actual size of the organizer
Process
+ creates MDF molds
+ vaccum form styrene sheet over the molds ( x 3 )
+ leaving air holes on the base of the mold: for the styrene sheet to go down into the inter-curves of the mold
Final Form
+ Size (L x W x H): 11” x 3.5” x 3” (three sheets together), 11” x 3.5” x 1” (a sheet)
+ can be placed horizontally and vertically
+ keep all pieces together using acrylic clips
+ allows user to customize how many pieces they want to stack together
