Branding

Rokefil

I was asked to rebrand the logo of the firm i was working since last year. The company main business is selling thread to sew shoes, and textiles to shoes. The logo was very out of date, it looked like it was made in Wordart, and the vans very  simple-minded, maybe, i don't know if this is the wright word to apply, but they were not good or near.

The company wanted to change a little bit the business, adding prints in leather and a collection of textiles and patterns, to  deep and look more into fashion. So the old logo was black and blue with a gradient (yeah...) and with a wheelbarrow that looked like out of Word Clip Art. I used the blue, but a darker one, (the previous was turquoise), and add black, to bring the brand more fashionable through these eclectic colors.

The references used by the brand Rokefil all started with "RK" so i wanted that these two letters to stand out like the initials. i did some versions and the first approach was very extreme, and minimal, with thin lines, and the initials, the owner did like so much because it was to minimal, too different, and he was afraid his shoemakers costumers without no studies didn't get the logo, so i made some changes, until the final logo, were the "RK" are inserted in the company name, but still outstanding, and we can se the needle in the "K", and the minimal style of the wheelbarrow in the letter R. I also made a pattern with the worldwide shoes icons of leather, textile, other materials, and other things they sell, like all kind of sewing machines for shoes.

here we can see the logo sequence, since the first attempt, very extreme, to the last one, the almost final one, the only different thing is the font than is thinner.
The final logo ended up being all blue and with thicker font
This pattern was used in several things like the business cards, the company vans, archives, covers, and other materials.
Company's Stationary
The van decorated, it is much better alive, so much cleaner, the blue stands out from the white van.
I'm sorry about the por quality of the blue print, i couldn't find one with better quality.
