Inked Magazine is a tattoo magazine with interviews from tattoo artists, musicians and athletes and a lot of random ads. Since it’s an art magazine, the first issue to tackle was making the images the most important element. A lot of the time tattoos can speak for themselves so you don’t need an overwhelming amount of type. However, it still needs to be properly laid out. Certain typefaces are used to describe a person’s style, really helping to keep it interesting without making the layouts too chaotic.
