TRIBUTE EVENING - POSTER ART
I was asked to create a special painting to commemorate the career of legendary poster artist Drew Struzan. I presented the gift to Drew on stage at a celebration evening honoring his 50 years in the industry.
The painting features iconic characters from Drew's body of work and the directors who worked with him to bring these movies to life. These include Steven Spielberg (E.T., Back to the Future, Hook, Indiana Jones), George Lucas (Indiana Jones, Star Wars), Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile), Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth), Richard Donner (Goonies) as well as Dylan Struzan, who's been at Drew's side throughout his journey.
The art was illustrated using Procreate for iPad Pro / Apple Pencil and Adobe Photoshop for Mac with a Wacom Tablet.
