Corteccia Prefrontale Dorsolaterale.
La Corteccia Prefrontale Dorsolaterale è l’area del cervello umano particolarmente connessa con la memoria.
Attraverso il ripercorrere quotidiano dei luoghi della mia vita, ho voluto rappresentare con opera fotografica quanto ha circondato buona parte della mia esistenza fino a questo momento. La memoria ha impresso dentro me in modo indelebile una parte di luoghi diventati consueti e familiari (che non mi appartengono più).
La visione di questi luoghi (della memoria), vuole descrivere uno stato tangibile del luogo medesimo: la ripetizione ciclica degli stessi gesti – parole - azioni, l’isolamento dato dall’insularità (geografica ma prima ancora vero stato mentale), l’impossibilità di andar oltre il luogo stesso e la dualità con il suo doppio, illusione di confronto ma inutile riflesso dell’anima alla ricerca di qualcosa che non c’è.
Non amando eseguire fotografia paesaggistica, ho voluto rendere unici questi luoghi usando metodo fotografico poco consueto e inusuale.
Il risultato che ne deriva è una sorta di memoria distorta, quasi fosse un disturbo, appunto, della Corteccia Prefrontale Dorsolaterale.

Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.
The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is the area of the human brain particularly connected with memory.
Travelling through the daily places of my life, I wanted to represent with a photographic work what has largely surrounded my existence so far. Memory has imprinted in me, in a indelible way, places which have become normal and familiar (that no longer belong to me).
The vision of these places (of memories), wants to describe a real status of the same place: cyclical repetition of the same gestures - words - actions, the isolation given by insularity (geographically, but firstly real state of mind). The impossibility of going beyond the same place and the duality with its double, illusion of comparison but useless reflection of the soul in search for something that does not exist.
Be someone who dislikes landscape photography, I wanted to make these places unique using a unusual photographic method.
The result is a distorted memory, like a disorder of the Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.
