As the lead on the in-house web team, I worked with the store managers & department head to develop a brand script, information architecture, and marketing goals for a new online presence. The store managers had been using an ancient X-Cart installation for years, but needed an upgrade to a mobile-friendly platform which could also enable a multi-channel marketing workflow.

We decided on WooCommerce in a WordPress installation. I oversaw the site & server development personally to ensure the highest security standards and a lean codebase.

For the visual design, we looked to the information architecture and analytics of how customers had been interacting with the old website, along with an influence of the parent brand.

We opted for a soft launch to guide their large customer base onto the new platform, and the results have been outstanding!
