Neon Hotel Sign
This is just a small asset created as part of a project I'm working on to improve my Substance Painter skills. The majority of the modelling was done in Blender with tweaks here and there made in 3DS Max.

The modelling of the asset was fairly straight forward; however, the challenge came around the modelling of the lettering for the sign, especially when trying to keep the asset as low poly as I could while trying to maintain the shape of the text.

The modelling and unwrapping of the asset took less than a day, however the texturing and getting accustomed to Substance Painter took a bit longer. Even though the timing on this project started to fall back around the texturing, I'm still incredibly happy with the final outcome of this sign.
