Sapid Coffee Roasting co. branding

Branding, packaging & photography
for Sapid Coffee Roasting co.
Some projects come from nowhere to become a part of your life. This is what happened with Sapid. I met the guys in the point when they had a logo and nothing else. A newborn company with great professionals from coffee industry was in need of a fresh design touch that would be understandable and simple.
So there I was from one side with mind opened people letting my creativity bloom and from another side limiting finances of a recently opened company. Challenge was accepted and from than on I was leading not only graphic design part but also photography and all what was going along with this.
First and the biggest thing to do was a package design. It had to combine a highlight of a coffee roaster`s craft, our contemporary minimalistic taste, full info about the origins of the coffees (without excess of the text) & a comfortable, speedy, not pricy way of printing. They already had a sticker printer and bags, so from the start was clear that we have to work and make shine those materials that are available.

Craft bags are greatly supporting the handmade taste of each batch of coffee produced - so it played in our favor. The fight was with the labels. Though the printer is a good thing to have - it will never replace the quality of professional typographic print. I came up with an idea using the color as minimum as possible though making it the center of the piece. As we have coffees from different countries - flags helped me to develop an easy language of colorful geometrical shapes inside of a rectangle (that is repeating the rectangular shape of the sticker itself). Colors are mimiking the flag (on most of our coffees that are single origin, our espresso blend is a colorful mix, special greek coffee is made with a color of greek flag - blue & teas are having their one color palette each, depending on the sort).
From there started a journey of developing the company style and distributing it for the different needs that are ever growing. Is a great experience to live and grow a project along with the company growing itself.
Love feeling a part of the team with the customer while working in design.

So this design thinking was applied to different types of packaging (250 g. beans & grounded coffee, 150 g.packs, 500 g. & 1000 g.), info cards, power point presentations, web page, t-shirts & caps, packaging for coffee blossom & cascara and may more designs that came along like stickers, print advertising etc...
