On 19th March 2017 we became part of an initiative
to help the Forest Department, Govt. of Gujarat to create
awareness for preservation and conservation of Fauna
and Flora in the state of Gujarat by arranging wall
paintings to commemorate International Forestry Day
to be celebrated on 21st March 2017.
Venue: Government Science College located in sector
15, near Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.
Scale: 4 m x 2 m
While choosing a wall for painting, this particular wall
had been abandoned because of the presence of the
tree in front of it. We found it very ironic that we are talking
about saving trees at the same time irritated because
of the tree being a hindrance. So I wanted to convey the
message that trees are a part of our life. A peaceful
co-existence. Therefore the tree is the main element
of our wall painting.
Concept :
A tired woodcutter resting under the shade of the only tree left.
The moto of the event is to capture the sentiment and
create awareness on conservation of forest animals
and energy.
