THE FIRST FLYING GLACIER

In celebration of Icelandair's 80th birthday the airline decided to make special kind of livery. Vatnajökull, Iceland's (and Europe's) largest glacier was the source of inspiration. The glacier was elegantly airbrushed on the exterior by a team of talented airbrush artists. Led lighting in the interior mimics the cool atmosphere of an ice cave. The plane turns heads wherever it lands and serves as an envoy of Iceland's natural beauty.
