Fading Tradition - Tikam Tikam

Traditions tend to slip out of fashion and disappear forever. This project identifies those fading traditions
and strives to give them relevance in today’s society.

TIKAM (tee-kum)
To tikam means to choose randomly. From the Malay phrase “tikam-tikam”. Commonly used among secondary school kids who need to answer multiple choice questions, or impatient people in the 4D queue. It also refers to a traditional children’s game of luck.

This project aims to bring back this popular traditional children's game of the 1970s by combining it with the National Heritage Tour, which every primary school student has to attend.
