Landscape as a subject in painting is interesting because it is a symbol of what is exterior from your point of view. At the same time you look out with glasses on, filtering everything through your mindset. A conclusion from this is that if you change your mindset you will see another landscape- therefore there is no exterior only interior mind-scapes. What is a mind-scape? A soundscape, a mood in which your eye can walk?
Anyway this is why I like to do landscapes, they portray this paradox and makes me think of a true unfiltered landscape which of course is impossible- or maybe not!
