Ivy - Time lapse
* Special thanks to my dear cousin Martin Li for his kind help on editing this video.
Ivy worked in the university gallery. She is a sweet, quite girl. We've known each other for few years before we had conversations. Ivy loves my watercolors; I really like her sweetness and beautiful facial features. Later on I got to know that Ive is the daughter of my new friend, Linda-the owner of Art Works Gallery. I'm holding an solo exhibition in Linda's gallery, from April to May. I thought it would be a very good reason to invite Ivy to model for me. Ivy was happy and came to my little studio twice. It's a 8 hours pastel drawing. I recorded a time lapse for this work. I used Prismacolor NuPastel, Blick soft pastel and soft pastel pencils to paint this portrait. This is the only pastel portrait showing in the exhibition, along with my traditional Chinese watercolor portraiture. I think this is the last pastel portrait in the first half year in 2018. I will focus on watercolors in this summer.
Thanks for your attention!
