A timeless reminder of the impeccable craftsmanship of the watchmakers of the 17th, 18th & 19th Century. As a collections photographer for the Auckland Museum I was given the honour of capturing the beauty of this collection. Nothing we do can have any post production so this is studio photography in its purest form. I only had the briefest of time with each watch, preservation and care the upmost priority. With each watch I stepped back in time. This is photography to me, the journey, the story, honouring the subject.
