Since the dawn of man the conception of time was based on the passage of sun moon and the known planets viewed from a point on the surface of the earth. The repeating pattern of planetary movement created the notion of time as a circular phenomenon. The change of seasons, lunar circles life and death, vegetation was viewed incorporated in the worldview of cyclical time.
Our civilization adopted a linear concept of time where a moment, once gone, is irreversibly lost. Our Calendar is the mathematical proxy of the planetary movement.
The calendar that I made for my friends is a reminder of a worldview that favored circular over linear. I shows: day and date, lunar phases, planetary constellations, duration of day and night, the zodiac. Ect.
