The H24PS-100 powered elevation headstock positioner is a heavy-duty solution that’s designed and built to last. With its ability to lift and rotate heavy rectangular and cylindrical workpieces with ease, it maximizes the flexibility and versatility of your shop.

The H24PS-100 can support up to 24,000 lbs. of weight at the mounting plate. When paired with the H24PS-150 tailstock, this capacity doubles to 48,000 lbs. or 24 tons. With its powerful turning torque of 250,000 in-lbs., it easily lifts and rotates vessels, trailer frames, and other long and rectangular workpieces at a steady speed of 0.05 to 1.2 rotations per minute (RPM). You can, however, select from a number of rotation speed options to match your shop’s requirements.

The positioner’s adjustable height settings, ranging from 48” to 96”, allows you to work comfortably. It comes with a gear-safe design that helps ensure workers’ safety and can accommodate SAW, TIG, MIG, and laser welding processes.

The H24PS-100 runs on a 480 V, 3-phase power input, although custom power input options can be fitted upon your request. It also has a standard ground capacity of 800 Amp, which may be modified to 200 Amp, 400 Amp, and 1,500 Amp to match your need.

The headstock positioner’s total weight is 9,600 lbs. Its footprint is at 92 1/2” x 82” x 130 5/8”.

You can choose from several accessory options to enhance worker convenience and extend the H24PS-100’s capabilities. All of LJ Welding Automation’s powered headstock and tailstock positioners can be fully integrated with LJ’s column and boom manipulators and welding robots to make a full welding cell system. Outboard roller supports are also available.

Forward/reverse foot switches are often used for the H24PS-100 headstock positioner. For hands-free operation, you can opt for variable-speed foot switches instead. If you are looking for hand pendants, models with forward/reverse and variable-speed are available. You can also choose ones with built-in digital readouts for added precision. 

All foot switches and hand pendants come with a 25-foot cable and 50-foot cable extension option. Wireless hand pendants are also available.

If you are looking to synchronize your headstock manipulator with a column and boom manipulator or welding robot, you can use HMI control panels that will allow you to manage multiple applications from just one area.

The H24PS-100 can be used with fixture accessories, including chucks, grippers, elbow jigs, and other specialized fixtures.
