The Moxie Foundation in San Diego CA loves to encourage expirimentaion and innovation in up and coming engineers. To do this they throw down the gauntlet and challenge college students in a competition to create a new product, design it, and produce a business model that could actually work. The Moxie Foundation does this by offering a grant for $10,000 to the team that demonstates the highest level of these traits.
